Worcester’s Afrocentric
Cultural, Learning, &
Healing Center
We connect Black/BIPOC groups, healers, and individuals whose work is rooted in racial justice, learning, creativity, community, healing.
In September 2020, after the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other black folks at the hands of the police, Worcester’s need for a community center devoted to the uplifting and safety of Black folks became evident. For 7 months, a team of people shared their time, expertise, and other talents to ensure that the Stone Soup Artist/Activist Collective and Community Resource Center could lovingly transition into The Village!
On May 2nd, 2021, we were finally able to open our doors and welcome community in! Since then, we have spent almost two years providing local BIPOC organizations, poets, children, creatives, authors, farmers, activists, and people period, a space to share, elevate, and expand what they do! We are looking forward to another year, or five, or ten, or more of doing what we do with the love, trust, and support of THE VILLAGE! (all of YOU)!
